For the Ring Road 4 project, the preparatory stage will include three packages.

The first is to evaluate bids for a pre-feasibility study for the whole project. The implementation time will be 30 days from the appointment of a contractor.

The second is to conduct a pre-feasibility study within 90 days via public bidding nationwide.

Package three is for verifying the pre-feasibility study. It will start selecting contractors in the second quarter of 2023 within 30 days.

HCMC’s administration will spend more than VND3.4 billion ($143,000) to carry out the three packages.

For the Ring Road 4 project in the Greater HCMC region, the HCMC section is 17.35km long and will require VND17,800 billion ($749.31 million) for the first phase. The other sections will be in the provinces of Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong and Long An and will be paid for by local budgets.

Like Ring Road 4, the Thu Thiem 4 bridge project’s preparatory stage will also include three packages.

Package one is again to evaluate bids for a pre-feasibility study. The second is to prepare a pre-feasibility study within 120 days.

The third is to verify the pre-feasibility study and start selecting contractors in the second quarter of 2023 and complete the process within 120 days.

HCMC budget will pay VND708 million ($29,800) for the three packages, all of which will be in the form of contractor appointment.

Thu Thiem 4 Bridge will connect Thu Thiem New Urban Area in Thu Duc city on the outskirts with the downtown area, as well as districts 4 and 7. The bridge spanning the Saigon River will cost an estimated VND5,300 billion (more than $223 million).
