HCMC to celebrate music, hot air balloon fests in tandem
The second editions of the HCMC International Music Festival "Ho do" 2022 and the HCMC Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held December 9-11 at two different venues.
The two venues are: the Nguyen Hue walking street in District 1; and the Thu Thiem 2 Bridge Park in Thu Duc city.

Residents and visitors can see balloon shows, take pictures at check-in and also fly in the hot air balloons. A lantern night program at 7p.m on December 11 will also feature art performances with hot air balloons.
The municipal Department of Transport has announced that all vehicles are banned from entering Nguyen Hue street (the section from Le Thanh Ton street to Ton Duc Thang street) from 6p.m to 11p.m.
To welcome the New Year 2023, on the night of December 31, the city will hold a countdown event at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and the streets of Nguyen Hue and Le Duan (from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia to Pasteur, District 1).
This will culminate in a 15-minute high-altitude fireworks show set off at the entrance of the Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc city at 12 p.m (midnight) on January 1, 2023.
The Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2023 will open from 7p.m January 19 to 9p.m on January 26 at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street in District 1.
At this time, a Book Street Festival will also be held on Mac Thi Buoi, Nguyen Hue and Ngo Duc Ke streets in District 1.
