HGC, Telehouse Vietnam deliver digital infrastructure platform ecosystem EdgeX by HGC
International ICT service provider HGC Global Communications Ltd. and Telehouse Vietnam have signed a joint marketing agreement to deliver EdgeX by HGC, a digital infrastructure platform ecosystem, to the Vietnamese market.
Bringing EdgeX to Hanoi in collaboration with Telehouse Vietnam, HGC will further its presence in the country by extending services to the north since the first introduction of its EdgeX in Ho Chi Minh City last August via partnership with HCMC-based DTS Telecom.
HGC, based in Hong Kong, launched this digital infrastructure platform ecosystem in July 2022 to support the global expansion of over-the-top (OTT) services.

EdgeX by HGC with its flagship Eyeball-as-a-Service (EaaS) can deliver ultra-low-latency and secured connectivity with resilience to enhance the end-user experience of OTTs, content providers, gaming applications, and streaming services.
These customers can have a one-stop-shop solution to access security services, multiple public cloud platforms, and internet exchanges like AMS-IX. They can also connect local and international networks instantly with both parties’ global presence. This partnership can help Vietnamese businesses capitalize on the new trends of digital transformation.
Cliff Tam, HGC’s international business senior vice president for global data strategy & operations, said: “We are keen to see our service be adopted expressly in the Vietnamese economy so more customers can benefit from our edge services.”
Established in July 2010, Telehouse Vietnam is a joint venture between Vietnam’s FPT Information Systems (FPT IS), Japan’s Mitsui & Co., and KDDI, a leading provider of ICT solutions worldwide.
