HSBC, Vietnam’s 315 Medical sign deal to propel healthcare growth
HSBC, through its Hong Kong office, and Vietnam’s 315 Medical JSC have signed an MoU to jointly explore opportunities to support the latter’s future growth.
The MoU was signed by Nguyen Huynh Van Vy, CEO of 315 Medical, and Luanne Lim, chief executive, Hong Kong, HSBC, on Friday during a luncheon hosted by the Hong Kong administration for senior government officials and representatives from the business community of both Vietnam and China’s special administrative region.

The collaboration will leverage 315 Medical’s healthcare services capabilities in Vietnam alongside HSBC’s ability to utilize Hong Kong’s economic connectivity and deep capital market.
The MoU aims to bolster 315 Medical’s potential financing and capital-raising initiatives in the long term.
In addition, both parties will explore ways to enhance connectivity across the healthcare industry in Vietnam.
Commenting on the MoU, Lim said, “315 Medical has been a client of HSBC Vietnam since its early phase. We are pleased to announce the start of a new collaboration to help unlock the potential of the healthcare and medical innovation.”
The 315 Medical network offers medical services through its maternity & obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, cardiovascular & diabetes, and ophthalmology departments. It has over 100 clinics nationwide, including major cities such as Hanoi, Danang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and other provinces.
HSBC Global Research recently raised its forecast of Vietnam GDP growth to 6.5% from the previous 6%, citing better-than-expected economic performance in the first half of 2024. At this rate, Vietnam is likely to be the fastest-growing economy in ASEAN in 2024.
