IT major FPT proposes 3 property projects in Khanh Hoa
FPT Corporation, Vietnam’s leading IT company, has proposed to develop three complex projects in Khanh Hoa province that will include technology facilities, housing areas, resorts and services.
The first project is a technology, education and urban area in Phuoc Dong and Vinh Thai communes, Nha Trang town.
Located on a 150ha site, it will accommodate a digital transformation and software center, an education complex (from primary to university and possibly postgraduate), a smart urban area with high technology applications, a standard urban area, and a high-density system of green parks and water surfaces.
The second project consists of a digital transformation training center, vocational colleges, urban areas, resorts, service facilities, amusement parks and an international sports center. It will cover 350ha in the Tuan le-Hon Ngang area of Van Phong Economic Zone.
The third project, 350ha, will be located in the Ho Na-Mui Doi area of Van Phong Economic Zone. The project includes an 18-hole golf course, a resort for senior experts, a high-end urban area, an entertainment area, a community area, a marina and an international water sports center.
FPT has implemented many large-scale projects across the country such as the 1,600ha Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park in Hanoi, the 181ha FPT Urban Area in Da Nang city and the 240ha FPT Tam Ky-Quang Nam technology, education and urban area in Quang Nam province.
Khanh Hoa authorities are drafting an amended development plan for Van Phong Economic Zone until 2040, with a vision to 2050. This means the areas on which FPT proposed to build projects are under planning adjustments.
At a recent meeting with FPT, a leader of the Khanh Hoa’s People’s Committee said: “After the amended development plan for Van Phong Economic Zone is approved by the Prime Minister, we will continue to study these projects. Currently, many big companies are proposing many large-scale projects in the zone.”
The government aims to develop Van Phong Economic Zone into a dynamic economic hub, with a focus on services, high-end tourism, modern entertainment including casino, high-tech industries, startup incubation, innovations and external trade.
Khanh Hoa is scheduled to submit the draft plan for the zone to the Prime Minister in the second quarter of 2022.
