Japan medical device maker Asahi Intecc to build $74 mln Vietnam factory
Asahi Intecc Hanoi, part of Japanese medical device maker Asahi Intecc, has secured an investment certificate to build a $74 million factory in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.

The eight-hectare factory in Thang Long Industrial Park is expected to start operation in the first quarter of 2025 and employ 1,600 people.
Designed annual output will feature stainless steel wire for industrial use totaling 36 million meters, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) of six million sets, spring guidewire (SPGW) of six million sets, plastic tubes for catheters comprising 4.8 million pieces, plastic tubes for syringes of 36 million meters, metal shaping tools and machines totaling 10 devices, and others.
The plant is the 46th Japanese-invested project in the province. In the first 11 months of this year, the northern province lured nearly $298 million in FDI, including $175 million from new projects and $123 million as added capital.
