The 14th Party Central Committee on Friday held its first meeting to elect the Politburo - Vietnam's highest decision-making body, the General Secretary, the Secretariat, the Central Inspection Committee, and the Central Inspection Committee Chairman.

On Friday afternoon, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man reported on the results of the election of the Politburo, the General Secretary, the Secretariat, the Central Inspection Committee, and the Central Inspection Committee Chairman for the new term.

The list of members of the 14th Party Central Committee's Secretariat:

The 14th Party Central Committee voted to approve the number of members of the 14th Party Central Committee's Secretariat, consisting of 13 people, including 10 Politburo members assigned to the Secretariat according to the structure.

Three people elected as Secretariat members at the first meeting of the 14th Central Committee include:

1. Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice State President

2. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Board of the Government’s Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister

3. Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court

Based on the recommendation of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo of the 14th term has assigned Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo, to be re-appointed as Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat of the 14th term.
