Masan debuts laundry business
Joins Pro, the laundry unit of Vietnamese conglomerate Masan Group, opened its first store in Vietnam on Thursday as the major’s latest move in its “Point of Life” strategy.
The first store, located in Binh Thanh district in Ho Chi Minh City, will be followed by others across the country, said Tran Thanh Van, the Joins Pro brand’s representative.

Door-to-door delivery is part of the new service, she said, adding that Joins Pro is looking for the lion’s share in the domestic laundry market.
Masan has started to incorporate the Phuc Long beverage chain’s kiosks into its WinMart+ stores nationwide after acquiring the tea and coffee brand in February, holding a 51% stake.
The combination is part of its “Point of Life” strategy, which develops its concept of minimarts providing banking services, essential products, food, coffee, tea and other beverages under one roof. The banking services, including new debit cards and credit cards, are provided by Techcombank, where Masan owns an around 20%.
The newly-launched laundry service will also be incorporated into the WinMart+ stores, Van said.
Masan Consumer Corporation, another Masan Group member, in February 2020 acquired a 52% stake of Net Detergent JSC, whose two popular laundry detergent brands are NET and NETSOFT.
