Vietnam's southern province of Vinh Long has called for project investments worth VND56 trillion ($2.26 billion) in several areas as it targets becoming a hi-tech agricultural hub by 2030.

At a conference held Saturday to announce the province’s 2021-2030 (with vision until 2050) master plan, it sought investments in 12 projects in agriculture, rural development, tourism, trade and services, infrastructure for industrial zones and clusters, and environmental protection. It estimated the total capital investment for the 12 projects at more than VND13.7 trillion ($553 million).
