Metro Star residential project wins national design award
The Metro Star residential project in Ho Chi Minh City has won the “Best Mixed-Use Architecture Design Vietnam 2022” title at the Dot Property Vietnam Awards 2022.
The prestigious title, presented to property developer CT Land member Metro Star Investment Co. Thursday, recognizes the creativity, utility and sustainability of the project design done by leading Singapore firm Axis.

The panel of judges said the design was a vivid example of sustainable green architecture, facilitating a diverse ecosystem that ensures a balance between nature and people. The design creates a unique green living space with plants, water, winds, and natural light, the judges noted.
Set on 1.8 hectares of land, the Axis design includes twin towers with a three-pointed star shape able to catch winds and offer open space and vision. All apartments have spacious windows, ensuring high ventilation in all corners and providing families with cool air.
This design also increases the efficiency of the arrangement of shophouses running along the base of the building, copying Myeongdong-style shopping pedestrian streets in South Korea. Every turn of the zig-zag roads can bring fresh experiences to visitors.
Metro Star has several utilities including the multi-storied Forest Garden with plants and flowers galore and an infinity pool giving swimmers the feel of floating in the air. It has a Sky Bridge connecting the two buildings’ top levels, making it an ideal spot to watch the sunset. The Vitality Garden serves as a place for residents to indulge their passion for farming.
In addition, the Play Parc playground - inspired by Singapore’s famous tourist island Sentosa - is a combination of an amusement park and a natural park to provide lots of fun just a few steps from the apartments. Then there is the Wellness Sanctuary that helps residents relax fully, while the Sky Symphony serves as a food court together with several entertainment activities.
Located in Thu Duc City on Ho Chi Minh City’s outskirts, the Metro Star project stands on the largest roundabout on the Hanoi Highway - said to be the most beautiful boulevard in the eastern part of the city. The site is also a connection point with Ring Road 2 via Pham Van Dong and Mai Chi Tho streets. The project developer expects to finish roofing for Metro Star by the end of this year.
