This is the second contract of Viettel in half a year in the Philippine market, marking a significant milestone for the Vietnamese firm in its journey to conquer the Southeast Asian nation's high-tech industry.
The first contract was inked in March this year under which Viettel committed to deploying customized shooting simulation systems tailored to the the Philippine National Police's specific demand.
At the event, Viettel handed over the system to representatives of ContactPoint and the Philippine National Police. The system has been enhanced with over 90% of its features being new, in line with the client's requirements.
Notably, Viettel has developed a recoil device in the simulation system that supports specific guns such as Glock, Taurus and M16 Rifle; and a new shooting training software module, helping improve the quality of training and combat preparation.
Radel Ramos, director of training at the Philippine National Police, stated that Viettel not only provides advanced technological solutions but also significantly helps the Philippine police improve their training capability in line with the country's practical conditions.
Cesar Jr. Manuel, CEO of ContactPoint, a leading technology company in the Philippines which specializes in providing solutions and equipment for government agencies and private clients, stated that the firm had searched extensively, but no company in the world can customize products to its exact requirements like Viettel.
The price offered by Viettel is extremely competitive compared to other providers, giving the Vietnamese company a significant competitive advantage in the international market, he added.
CEO of Viettel High Tech Nguyen Vu Ha said Viettel is committed to providing the most advanced and highest quality products in the Philippines and the international market, contributing to improving training quality and reducing training costs.
The success of the firearm training simulation system proves Viettel's technological ability, he added.
In recent years, Viettel has made great strides in researching and exporting high-tech products under the "Make in Vietnam" brand, affirming Vietnam's competitive edge in the international market and consolidating the stature of Viettel - Vietnam's global tech group.
