Thai company Thoughtful Media of e-commerce firm Society Pass Inc. (Nasdaq: SOPA) has made its foray into Vietnam as part of the parent company’s expansion ambition.

The Thai firm announced the official launch of its digital advertising platform, Thoughtful Media Group Inc. (TMG), in the Vietnamese market in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday, three weeks after Society Pass’s online travel agency NusaTrip opened an HCMC office that represents NusaTrip’s third Southeast Asian office outside of Jakarta, following the opening of offices in Singapore and Manila earlier this year.

Since Society Pass’s acquisition of Bangkok-headquartered Thoughtful Media last July, the Thai firm has transformed into a multi-platform integrated advertising platform connecting content creators and brands. It is also present in Indonesia, where NusaTrip is based.

“After almost one year of being acquired and joining the SOPA ecosystem, TMG has become a vital part of our integrated advertising and digital strategy,” SOPA chief marketing officer Rokas Sidlauskas said in HCMC.

The Vietnamese market is already home to lifestyle platform Leflair, which is also part of the SOPA ecosystem.

“By partnering with TMG, Leflair leverages the TMG network to review and sell their products across multiple online platforms like Youtube and Tiktok. SOPA is fully committed to the growth of TMG in Southeast Asia,” said Sidlauskas.

TMG’s four core businesses are online platforms, premium brands, social selling, and sports marketing.

Society Pass has offices in Angeles (Indonesia), Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Manila, and Singapore. It acquired Jakarta-based NusaTrip last year to enter the regional travel business.
