The intention is to objectively assess a company’s management and adaptability capabilities while encouraging efficient management and strategic development for sustainable growth.
According to the ranking committee, as of March 2023, total market capitalization of the Top 50 companies reached approximately $80 billion, accounting 34% of the market capitalization of all listed firms.
Their total revenues reached nearly a combined $42 billion, or 21.6% of the total of listed firms. Their post-tax profits of nearly $7.8 billion accounted for 40% of the total of listed companies.
The average ROE for the Top 50 companies was 19%, well above the market's average of 11%. PVFCCo achieved an impressive ROE of 39%, double the average ROE of the Top 50, making it a market leader.
The organizing committee noted that this year’s Top 50 list witnessed significant growth in the fertilizer and chemical industry, with PVFCCo being an industry leader, effectively seizing opportunities amidst market fluctuations and achieving impressive growth over the past three years.
PVFCCo achieved an average revenue growth rate of 34% during the 2020-2022 period, a 24% ROE growth rate, and an average profit growth rate of 329% for investors, all of which exceeded the industry's averages.
PVFCCo celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, making it one of the most successful investments, with a total profit being 10-fold compared to its initial capital investment.
The “Top 50 Most Efficient Businesses in Vietnam” ranking is an annual ranking conducted by the Investment Bridge magazine in collaboration with economists, business and financial experts to select and honor efficient businesses in the Vietnamese stock market. This is the 13th edition of the ranking (2010-2023).
