In 2017, Adamed Pharma acquired 70% of Davipharm, becoming the biggest Polish investor in Vietnam. Adamed has recently acquired the remaining shares in Davipharm to become the sole owner, Davipharm said Monday.

With an investment of $50 million in 2017, $10 million was allocated to upgrade Davipharm’s factory in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Davipharm can develop into one of the biggest drug manufacturers in Vietnam, Malgorzata Adamkiewicz, president of the supervisory board of Adamed Pharma, said while visiting the Binh Duong plant in April.

Founded in 2004, Davipharm reached 100 registered products in 2014 and then started exporting goods to Cambodia and the Philippines. In 2021, it was certified with the EU-GMP quality standard for the production and packing of non-sterile products in capsules, hard shells, and tablets.

The firm’s outstanding products include 28 high potency (HP) drugs, among them oncology drugs for the treatment of breast cancer, leukemia, pancreas, colorectal, stomach, cervix, prostate and lung cancer, and glioblastoma. Its total capacity is 1.8 billion units a year, including 500 million HP drugs.

Adamed products are available in over 70 countries. The firm operates branches in Russia, the Czech Republic, Vietnam, Italy, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
