Towards the 35th anniversary of PetroVietnam Gas JSC (PV Gas), PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution JSC (PV Gas D) proudly looks back on its journey of development full of courage, responsibility, and breakthroughs.

As one of the key member units of PV Gas - a subsidiary of state-owned Petrovietnam, PV Gas D has been making an important contribution to shaping and promoting the sustainable development of the gas industry in Vietnam and spreading its values.

With strategic vision, pioneering spirit, and adaptability to market fluctuations, PV Gas D has affirmed its leading role in the field of distributing natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and compressed gas to industrial customers nationwide.

From the early days of the market to becoming a nationwide distributor of natural gas and LNG, each successful milestone of PV Gas D is the crystallization of collective intelligence, aspiration to reach far, and strong commitment for a green-clean-efficient energy future.

On the development journey, PV Gas D always focuses on strategic cooperation, creating a solid foundation for long-term progress.

In 2017, the strategic alliance with Tokyo Gas Asia - one of the largest gas corporations in Japan - helped PV Gas D access modern technology, finance, management, and marketing. At the same time, the two sides established an Innovation Committee to build strategies and develop new energy solutions.

With the support of international strategic shareholders Tokyo Gas Asia (25%) and Saibu Gas Holdings (21%), PV Gas D has more capital, advanced technology, and global governance experience, thereby enhancing its competitiveness in the market.

In particular, domestically, PV Gas D cooperates closely with the Management Boards of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks (IPs), typically IDICO and the Hai Phong Economic Zones Authority (HEZA) in Hai Phong, to promote energy conversion.

The enterprise not only provides clean gas but also works with localities to implement national policies on sustainable energy development, contributing to realizing the goal of green growth.

To ensure safe, continuous and efficient gas supply, PV Gas D continuously invests in infrastructure and specialized technical services, among which the most prominent is the comprehensive maintenance and repair service deployed for the gas distribution and receiving system, including maintenance of mechanical equipment, pipelines, valves, and electrical and control systems.

Thanks to that, after more than 23 years of operation, PV Gas D's low pressure gas system has always operated stably, minimizing incidents and gas supply interruptions. At the same time, many important renovation projects have been implemented, such as increasing the capacity of Taicera station and renovating pipelines and stations at Vina Kyoel, thereby helping customers optimize production and improve energy efficiency

Applying new technology - Leading the energy trend

PV Gas D considers technological innovation as a key task to create environmentally friendly energy solutions, with many specific directions such as deploying cogeneration technology (Cogen) to help utilize natural gas to simultaneously produce electricity and heat, saving costs, and improving energy efficiency for customers; and developing integrated energy solutions combining LNG, solar powe, and cogeneration, bringing about both economic benefits and reducing CO2 emissions.

Notably, the signing of an MoU with Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company on the supply of LNG to Dung Quat Oil Refinery demonstrates the pioneering role in clean fuel conversion.

The company has also cooperated with HEZA to implement programs to promote energy conversion at the Hai Phong Industrial Park, contributing to the sustainable development goals of the city and the region and spreading technological knowledge through LNG seminars. The seminars not only disseminated knowledge about operation and safety, but also created forums to connect businesses, promoting the clean gas market in Vietnam.

Financial achievements and brand reputation

These achievements not only reflect outstanding capacity but also affirm PV Gas D's commitment to fulfilling social responsibility, promoting green development, and protecting the environment.

Strategic Vision – Creating the Future of Energy

With the success of the past 23 years associated with the consistent direction of PV Gas's leadership, PV Gas D has oriented to not only distribute traditional gas but also boldly expand to comprehensive energy solutions.

By applying advanced technologies in areas such as cogeneration technology, solar power, LNG, and specialized repair and maintenance services, PV Gas D has enhanced the value for customers, making an important contribution to national energy security.

At the same time, the company continues to pursue the goal of sustainable development, maintaining the leading position in the distribution of natural gas and LNG and ensuring clean fuel sources for industrial zones and urban areas in Vietnam.
