Retail prices of gasoline in Vietnam increased by VND60-90 (0.4 US cents) per liter on Monday, the first hike after a drop on March 21, while the price of diesel oil went up VND130.

RON 95-III gasoline went up to VND23,120 ($0.99) per liter, while E5 RON 92 hit VND22,080 ($0.94).

Diesel climbed by VND130 to VND19,430 ($0.83), but Kerosene fell by VND340 to VND19,030 ($0.81) a liter.

For this price adjustment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance decided to maintain the level of deductions from different types of oil for the gasoline price stabilization fund.

Consumer prices in March fell 0.23% from February, the GSO said. The reasons, according to the General Statistics Office, are food prices falling due to ample supply, and gasoline and gas prices decreasing in line with world fuel prices.

Average consumer prices in the first quarter rose 4.18% from a year earlier.
