S Korea’s Lotte begins building $34 mln cold logistics center in Vietnam
Lotte Global Logistics Vietnam, under South Korean chaebol Lotte, kicked off the construction of a $34 million cold chain center in the southern province of Dong Nai on Thursday.
Covering 5.5 hectares in the Nhon Trach 6 Industrial Park, the facility will offer services of transportation and storage, with a cold and normal temperature distribution logistics center, bonded warehouses, and a delivery center. The facility is set to enter full-scale operation from May 2026.

Prior to the Dong Nai facility, Lotte Global Logistics Vietnam has invested in cold storage facilities in neighboring provinces of Long An, Binh Duong and Vinh Long, and cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Lotte Global Logistics Vietnam started investing in Dong Nai in 2021.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dong Nai Chairman Vo Tan Duc said the storage investment of Lotte is in line with Dong Nai’s strategy of becoming a logistics hub for the southern region.
Vietnam attracted $502.8 billion in registered FDI as of end-2024. Dong Nai ranked fourth among all localities with $37.6 billion, according to data.
The province, as a key industrial hub of Vietnam, now has 32 operational industrial parks covering over 6,000 hectares, with the occupancy rate at 86%. The province's masterplan now has 48 industrial parks of 18,000 hectares
