Samsung’s ex-HR head Na Ki-hong to lead Samsung Vietnam from next month
Na Ki-hong, deputy CEO of Samsung Vietnam and former human resources head at Samsung Electronics, will succeed Choi Joo Ho as CEO of Samsung Vietnam from February.
Choi Joo Ho made the statement at a Thursday meeting with Vinh Phuc province authorities, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet). He also said he appreciated Vinh Phuc’s support for approximately 50 Samsung vendors in the northern province.

The South Korean chaebol has so far invested nearly $23 billion in Vietnam and is the biggest foreign investor in the country. Samsung’s network in Vietnam, not including vendors, features six major factories, one research & development (R&D) facility, one selling entity, employing nearly 90,000 people.
Samsung is committed to jointly developing Vietnam’s sustainable growth, investing more in the country, and helping with high-quality workforce training, Choi Joo Ho said. Choi Joo Ho has been leading Samsung Vietnam since December 2018.
In reply, Vinh Phuc Chairman Tran Duy Dong affirmed the province will continue facilitating Samsung vendors. He called on Samsung and its vendors to invest more in Vinh Phuc, especially in workforce training.
Samsung Vietnam owns six production facilities and one R&D center. Major ones are Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT) and Samsung Electro-Mechanics in Thai Nguyen province; Samsung Display Vietnam (SDV) and Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) and Samsung SDI Vietnam in Bac Ninh province; and Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex (SEHC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
