SEA Games 31: Defeating Myanmar, Vietnam lead Group A of men’s football

With a 1-0 win against Myanmar, U23 Vietnam currently lead Group A in men's football at the 31st SEA Games.
Captain Do Hung Dung has become the country’s hero after scoring the game-winning goal in the 75th minute for U23 Vietnam.
Previously, despite a 3-0 win against Indonesia in the opening match, the draw with the Philippines last Sunday placed U23 Vietnam third in Group A. Meanwhile, U23 Myanmar scored six goals and temporarily became the group leader.
This victory gave the Vietnamese team seven points after three matches, allowing them to secure a ticket to the semi-finals.

The defeat brought U23 Myanmar to third place, trailing U23 Indonesia on goal difference despite having the same six points.
Timor Leste will be U23 Vietnam's last opponents in Group A. The "Golden Star Warriors" need only a draw to move on and continue the journey to defend their prestigious gold medal.
