Shinhan Bank Vietnam accompanies SMEs in promoting cashless payments
With modern, secure and convenient payment solutions designed to meet the specific needs of businesses, particularly the SME segment, Shinhan Bank Vietnam continues to accompany enterprises in building a modern corporate image and keeping pace with the digital economy.
The Shinhan Business Owner and Shinhan SMEs credit cards, launched in April 2025, continue to leverage their strengths with unlimited reward points and cashback for business spending.
Each business can accumulate up to 500,000 special reward points per month, while both card lines earn an additional 0.5% in reward points for transactions processed via Shinhan POS machines when monthly turnover reaches VND100 million ($3,800) or more.
In addition, cardholders enjoy a wide range of Visa privileges, including Fast Track services at airports nationwide. In particular, the Shinhan Business Owner card offers outstanding benefits such as exemption from financial proof when applying for a South Korean tourist visa, international travel insurance coverage of up to VND12 billion ($455,670), 0% installment offers at Shinhan partners, and discounts of up to 50% at more than 200 brands within the Shinhan Zone ecosystem.
Notably, marking a new milestone in supporting enterprises’ international integration, Shinhan Bank has partnered with Visa to roll out the Global Trade Payment Platform (GTPP), a global transaction payment solution making its first appearance in Vietnam.
Shinhan Bank is also the first foreign bank in Vietnam to support this platform. GTPP enables businesses, especially small and medium-sized importers, to conduct cross-border payments using Shinhan cards in a fast, secure, transparent and efficient manner.
In the context of Vietnam being South Korea’s third-largest export market, the launch of GTPP is regarded as a significant transition from traditional trade transactions to modern card-based payments.
Accordingly, businesses can make direct payments to Korean partners using Shinhan Visa corporate cards via the GTPP platform, making international transactions more convenient, faster and safer.
Cardholders also enjoy a range of attractive benefits, including flexible credit limits, an interest-free period of up to 45 days, an unlimited 0.1% reward points program on all transactions, along with exclusive privileges such as one Fast Track service and one golf round upon meeting spending requirements.
These advantages enable businesses to optimize financial costs while enhancing the value and efficiency of card usage in their operations.
Shinhan Bank is also the first foreign bank in Vietnam to support GTPP.
As all documents and invoices are provided directly on the GTPP platform, the entire transaction process becomes more transparent, minimizing the risk of errors or fraud in document handling.
At the same time, the automation of verification and payment steps helps shorten transaction time and optimize cash flow. With its ability to connect with a wide range of global banks and partners, GTPP also supports businesses in expanding international payment networks and centrally managing cross-border transactions.
In recognition of its efforts in effectively operating card services and developing products that address the practical needs of SME customers, in October 2025, Shinhan Bank was honored by Visa with two awards: “First-Mover Leadership in B2B Commerce for SMEs 2025” and “Leadership in Authorization 2025.”
Alongside card solutions, Shinhan Bank has also provided POS payment services, one of the key infrastructures supporting SMEs’ digital transformation in sales. The service supports multiple payment methods, including cards (Visa, MasterCard, NAPAS), NFC and QR codes via the Smart POS PAX A910S device, which can be easily integrated with sales management software to enable real-time monitoring of revenue and cash flow.
Customers registering for Shinhan POS are eligible for 0.2% cashback per terminal per month (up to VND3 million or $114) during the first three months, along with free installation and a 12-month warranty. Until now, Shinhan Bank has successfully installed POS systems for more than 5,000 business households.
POS payment services, one of the key infrastructures supporting SMEs’ digital transformation in sales.
The adoption of modern POS solutions from Shinhan also helps SMEs enhance their brand image in a more professional and digitalized manner, creating a sense of trust among customers, especially as cashless payments increasingly become the standard.
This further demonstrates Shinhan Bank’s commitment to accompanying SMEs on their journey to enhance competitiveness, accelerate digital transformation and move closer to the smart enterprise model.
By promoting cashless payments and applying digital technologies in financial and accounting operations, Shinhan Bank aims to help the SME community operate more efficiently, optimize resources and proactively integrate deeper into global value chains, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of both enterprises and Vietnam’s digital economy.
