Sunflower garden opens to public in HCMC for new year holiday
A public display of sunflowers is open on the Van Phuc City peninsula in Ho Chi Minh City from December 24, 2022 to January 5, 2023.
The Van Phuc urban area is hosting various events to welcome 2023.
The display is an annual event hosted by Vietnamese real estate developer Van Phuc Group and entry is free for residents and visitors. With a total area of 12,000 square meters, it is among the largest sunflower gardens in inner HCMC.
The Van Phuc City peninsula is located at No. 375 National Highway 13, Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city.
The sunflowers started blooming from December 24 and will be at their best until January 4, 2023.
The best times to enjoy the scene and take pictures are 7-8 a.m. and 15-17 p.m when the beautiful, soft light shines through the yellow blossoming flowers under the sun.
Van Phuc Group said it expected tens of thousands of people would visit daily.
In 2018 and 2019, the sunflower garden at the Van Phuc urban area was a popular site for tourists, welcoming nearly 500,000 visitors.

Musical water performances will also be held at the Dai Nhat Lake on Diamond Square from December 24, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
"For the first time ever, residents and visitors are welcome to enjoy world-class performances in HCMC, right next to the sunflower garden in these romantic year-end days," Van Phuc Group said in a release.
Van Phuc Group expected tens of thousands of people would visit the site daily.
