Suntory Pepsico Vietnam Beverage (SPVB) inaugurated a new beverage plant in southern Vietnam on Friday, marking its largest-ever investment in the country and underscoring the company’s long-term confidence in the Vietnamese consumer market.

The new facility covers 20 hectares in Huu Thanh Industrial Park in Tay Ninh province, with total investment expected to reach $300 million.

The plant is the sixth manufacturing facility operated by Suntory PepsiCo in Vietnam and represents the company’s biggest single investment in the country since it entered the market more than three decades ago.

The investment reflects its long-term commitment to Vietnam’s growth prospects, while strengthening production capacity, fostering innovation, and supporting the sustainable development of the country’s beverage industry, the company said.

The factory has a designed production capacity of approximately 1.244 billion liters per year, significantly increasing Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s manufacturing capabilities and enabling the company to meet rising domestic demand while supporting future growth plans.

Beyond expanding production, the project is expected to create around 3,000 jobs across the local supply chain and support local economic growth.

The facility is currently focused on serving the Vietnamese market, although it has been designed with flexible production capabilities that could support other markets in the future should demand arise.

Suntory Pepsico Vietnam Beverage is a strategic alliance between Japan’s Suntory and the U.S.’s PepsiCo in Vietnam.
