Switzerland-based Susi Partners acquires 39-MW wind farm in Vietnam
Switzerland-based energy transition investor Susi Partners, on behalf of the SUSI Asia Energy Transition Fund (SAETF), has acquired the 39-MW Dam Nai wind farm in Vietnam’s central province of Ninh Thuan.
Susi Partners made the acquisition from Norway-based renewable energy company Scatec ASA, the former said in a Friday statement. SAETF will also take over Scatec’s Vietnam-based operating company to facilitate a further expansion in the country, Susi Partners added.

The Dam Nai wind farm will become a cornerstone asset of SAETF’s utility-scale renewable energy platform Sustainable Asia Renewable Assets (SARA). It will provide an anchor for the development, construction, and operation of further utility-scale renewable energy projects in nearby regions, Susi Partners said.
As the first operating project of the platform, the Dam Nai wind farm adds crucial scale to the platform and provides access to a growing and increasingly liberalized Vietnamese utility-scale renewables market.
SAETF invests in sustainable energy infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia. Its current portfolio consists of seven investments in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia with a focus on utility-scale renewable energy projects and distributed generation projects on commercial and industrial sites, according to Susi Partners.
Dam Nai wind farm is the first wind power project in Ninh Thuan province, with an investment of $80 million. It features 15 wind turbines provided by Siemens Gamesa, generating 120 million kWh of electricity annually.
