VEPH said in a statement that, in addition to newly printed textbooks in 2026, all textbooks and workbooks printed from 2025 and earlier - except titles revised and approved in 2026 under updated regulations - will continue to be used and reused in schools, libraries, distribution channels and students’ households for teaching and learning purposes.

Regarding updated content, VEPH said several textbooks had been revised to reflect changes in administrative boundaries and socio-economic statistics. Updated PDF versions have been uploaded to its online system.

Teachers, students and educational institutions can access and use the updated textbooks free of charge on VEPH’s online portal at taphuan.nxbgd.vn.

The publisher also said the Ministry of Education and Training had approved revisions to 11 textbooks in 2026 under Circular No. 17/2025/TT-BGDDT dated September 12, 2025.

The revised titles include History and Geography textbooks for grades 4 through 9, History 10, History 10 thematic studies, Economic and Legal Education 10, Geography 12, and Geography 12 thematic studies.

VEPH said it would print and distribute the revised textbooks in 2026, while older editions printed in 2025 and earlier would no longer be circulated. However, teachers and students may continue using previous editions as reference materials.

The publisher said it remained committed to improving textbook quality and reducing production and distribution costs to further lower prices and ease the financial burden on parents and students.

Textbook prices for the 2026-2027 academic year have been adjusted downward by an average of 13.3% compared with the previous school year, it added.

VEPH said the announcement aimed to help schools, parents and students nationwide use textbooks more effectively, promote savings, and reduce waste through textbook reuse.

The publisher also pledged to continue working closely with the education sector to ensure adequate and timely textbook supplies ahead of the new academic year opening.
