TH Group JSC, a leading Vietnamese dairy firm, has received approval to invest VND2,253 billion ($94.6 million) in four projects in Thanh Hoa province’s Thuong Xuan district.

One of the projects will plant trees and herbs over an area of 819.6 hectares at the Xuan Lien nature reserve. The company said that the VND412 billion ($17.3 million) high-tech herbal project will facilitate scientific research and attract other businesses to invest in hi-tech agriculture in the central province.

Second, a high-tech 936.9-hectare, VND294 billion ($12.4 million), agro-forestry project in Luong Son commune and Thuong Xuan township will apply scientific research in mass production towards sustained growth.

The third project will build a high-tech agro-forestry complex in the semi-submerged area of Cua Dat lake. The VND638 billion ($26.8 million) project will simultaneously serve and develop agricultural production and tourism. It will include construction of a boat pier for transportation and facilities.

The fourth project will build a VND909 billion ($38.2 million) eco-tourism complex for relaxation and entertainment at the Xuan Lien natural reserve.

In a Sunday discussion about the projects with provincial authorities, Do Trong Hung, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Party Committee, welcomed the investment and asked relevant agencies to quickly process procedures.

Hung lauded TH Group, a multi-sector business, for its high-tech agriculture initiatives and implementing the eco-friendly circular economy model.

Established in 2009, TH Group is well-known for its dairy products and the $1.2-billion cow farm in Nghe An province, which neighbors Thanh Hoa. It is also a Vietnamese pioneer in making dairy investments overseas, opening farms in Russia and Australia.
