Tien Thanh Industrial Park in the northern port city of Hai Phong will be developed following the eco-industrial park model pioneered at Nam Cau Kien Eco-Industrial Park, as developer Shinec JSC moves to build a green and sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Vietnam-Japan business cooperation promoted

Shinec and its partners on Friday hosted a Vietnam-Japan investment promotion and business networking conference at Nam Cau Kien Eco-Industrial Park in Hai Phong.

Participants were updated on the city's investment climate and industrial development strategy, while also exploring industrial real estate projects being developed by Shinec and its partners.

Among them, Tien Thanh Industrial Park was introduced as a flagship project in Shinec’s industrial ecosystem. The IP project, which broke ground in April 2025, spans more than 410 hectares in the Tien Lang-Tan Minh area with a total investment of $196 million.

It is planned as a modern IP built to international standards, prioritizing investment in clean industries, high-tech sectors, supporting industries, and manufacturing.

Following Nam Cau Kien eco-industrial park model

In December 2025, Shinec and Tien Thanh Industrial Park Investment JSC, the developer of the project, signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop and operate the IP.

Under the agreement, NCK Land, a member of Shinec, will take part in management, operations and investment promotion, drawing on experience from the Nam Cau Kien eco-industrial park model.

According to Pham Hong Diep, chairman of Shinec, the event aimed to highlight investment opportunities in the company’s new IP projects, particularly Tien Thanh Industrial Park.

“Our goal is to attract next-generation FDI and gradually build industrial symbiosis chains aligned with green and sustainable economic development,” he said.

Multiple cooperation agreements signed

During the conference, the developer of Tien Thanh Industrial Park signed several cooperation agreements to strengthen the IP’s investment ecosystem.

The most notable was a business cooperation contract with NCK Land to manage, operate and promote the IP based on the Nam Cau Kien eco-industrial park model.

The developer also signed MoUs with six investors for the sublease of land-use rights with existing technical infrastructure, covering more than 40 hectares in total.

The projects focus on clean industries, high technology, and logistics. Among them, a wastepaper recycling plant spanning more than 24.2 hectares is expected to serve as a core project forming an industrial symbiosis chain and promoting a circular economy within the IP.

According to Nguyen Thi Bich Dung, deputy head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, the cooperation between Shinec, NCK Land, and Tien Thanh Industrial Park Investment JSC reflects a strong commitment to green and environmentally friendly IP development linked with industrial symbiosis chains.

In the future, Nam Cau Kien and Tien Thanh are expected to evolve beyond two separate industrial parks to become key hubs in Hai Phong’s green industrial ecosystem, enabling businesses to share resources and build sustainable value chains.

The investment promotion event was held as part of the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Festival Nam Cau Kien 2026, providing a platform to strengthen connections between Vietnamese and Japanese businesses and introduce investment opportunities within Shinec’s IP ecosystem, particularly Tien Thanh Industrial Park.

The series of signed agreements underscores the growing appeal of Tien Thanh Industrial Park as it seeks to replicate the success of the Nam Cau Kien eco-industrial park model and develop a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
