Vietnam Education Publishing House, Oxford University Press to host workshop on English teaching innovation
Vietnam Education Publishing House, in collaboration with Oxford University Press, will hold a workshop this Friday to advance English teaching methodologies in Vietnam.
The large-scale professional workshop is designed to equip English teachers with modern teaching approaches to make breakthroughs in the 2025-2045 period.
A team of international and Vietnamese speakers will join English teachers in the workshop to be held on March 13, 2026.
A 20-year strategic vision
Organizers said being “future-ready” is not merely a slogan but a mindset and skill set that English teachers need to develop. In education, this means not only mastering current competencies but also being able to adapt to and prepare for unpredictable future challenges.
A “future-ready” English teacher should not simply react to change, but anticipate, embrace and turn it into an advantage.
The online workshop is set to explore key elements required for teachers in Vietnam to stay ahead of future trends. Participants will be introduced to new teaching methodologies and global trends such as English-medium instruction (EMI), while also gaining practical techniques suited to future classrooms.
Discussions will also focus on building the skills, mindset and systems needed to navigate an increasingly volatile world, enabling teachers to adapt quickly and effectively.
Through real-world examples and insights from both international and Vietnamese experts, the workshop aims to help teachers confidently prepare themselves and their students for future challenges.
Networking and professional development opportunities
A highlight of the event will be the participation of David Marsh, a globally recognized education expert with experience implementing education programs in more than 20 countries. He will share perspectives on opportunities and practical approaches tailored to Vietnam’s education system over the next two decades.
Recognizing that each education level faces distinct challenges, the workshop will feature specialized sessions where teachers could engage directly with speakers including Zarina Subhan, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, and Associate Prof. Dr. Hoa Nguyen.
The event will serve not only as a knowledge-sharing platform but also as a forum for teachers nationwide to connect, exchange experiences, and access advanced teaching resources.
By hosting the workshop online, participants will be able to save travel time while still benefiting from high-quality international professional development.
