Vietnam fertilizer major PVFCCo carries out meaningful social security programs to celebrate National Day
Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) has supported several primary schools with infrastructure and other facilities in recent days to mark the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) holidays.

A company representative said these activities were part of “practical and meaningful” social security activities for the community that the company has undertaken in coordination with local authorities.
It sponsored the facilities under the assignment and general plan of parent firm Petrovietnam, the representative said.
On August 24, 2024, the firm handed over a multi-purpose building and auxiliary items to My Trung Primary School in My Loc district, the northern province of Nam Dinh.
The VND5 billion ($201,500) facility covers 458.75 square meters, with functional areas serving physical education, like a practice floor, stage, gym and dressing rooms. Auxiliary items include the main gate, fences and a 200-square meter concrete yard.

On August 26, 2024, PVFCCo inaugurated and handed over a two-storey, six-room classroom building to the Trung Vuong Kindergarten in Viet Tri town, the northern midland province of Phu Tho.
The project has a total investment of more than VND7.4 billion ($298,100), of which VND4.5 billion was donated by PVFCCo. The building comprises five classrooms and one hall with a total area of 450 square meters per floor, each of which is fully equipped with modern equipment to create the best teaching and learning conditions for teachers and students.

In order to help disadvantaged households in Da Kao ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City celebrate the National Day, PVFCCo visited and presented 20 gifts worth a total of VND10 million ($400) to local poor and disadvantaged households. Each gift, worth VND500,000 ($20), including necessities like rice, fish sauce and cooking oil, and VND300,000 in cash.
More than 20 years since its establishment, PVFCCo has strengthened its position as a leading firm in implementing social security works.
So far it has carried out social security programs and activities worth more than VND1.2 trillion ($48.34 million) across the country.
It has built nearly 26,000 charity houses, nearly 300 educational and medical works and rural bridges, and presented hundreds of thousands of gifts to victims hit by natural disasters. It has regularly given Tet (Lunar New Year holiday) gifts to poor people and granted scholarships for students.
The company carries out all its social security boosting activities with a sense of responsibility and the spirit of sharing with the larger community, the representative said.
