Unleashing a new investment wave will be the theme of the "Vietnam Industrial Park Forum 2022” organized August 11 by The Investor in Ho Chi Minh City.

With support from the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and participation of city and provincial leaders nationwide, the event expects to deliver an updated general picture of investments in industrial real estate development across the country as Vietnam emerges as a new global manufacturing base.

Officials from the MPI, the ministries of Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, and Construction, the Government Office, management units of industrial parks, developers, economic experts, business associations, domestic and foreign investors will participate in the event.

The forum will mainly discuss the factors involved in unleashing high-quality FDI inflows into industrial parks; factors that can create a new wave; content of Decree 35/2022 on promoting IP development for supporting industries, specialized IPs, high-tech IPs, ecological IPs, service and urban townships; specialized IPs to attract foreign firms; and investment opportunities in provinces and cities.

For localities nationwide, the event will be an opportunity to showcase their investment attractions.

After two years of being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s economy is on a strong recovery path with GDP expansion reaching 6.42% in the first six months of this year. In addition to stable macroeconomic conditions, the country’s exports and FDI inflows have continued to show positive results.

Forum organizers said that with the government's implementation of its socio-economic recovery and development program and improved business environment, especially the issuance of Decree 35/2022 this May on the management of industrial parks and economic zones, domestic and foreign investment flows into industrial parks are expected to keep rising.
