Vietnam logistics major Vietrans targets 67% profit surge, eyes property development in 2026
Vietrans International Freight Forwarder and Trading JSC (Vietrans) has set an ambitious growth target for 2026 while signaling a potential expansion into real estate, as the logistics firm seeks to diversify revenue streams and improve profitability.
According to documents released ahead of its AGM scheduled for April 10 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietrans (UPCoM: VIN) aims to generate revenue of VND645 billion ($24.51 million) and pre-tax profit of VND20 billion ($760,020), up 8% and 67%, respectively, from 2025.

Alongside its core freight forwarding and warehousing business, the company is exploring entry into property development.
Vietrans said it will continue upgrading fire prevention and safety systems at its warehouse facility on Nguyen Van Quy street in HCMC. At the same time, it is preparing a master plan for the land to support future development once legal procedures for land-use extension are completed.
The company plans to submit pre-feasibility studies in 2026 for two projects: a mixed-use residential and commercial development in HCMC with total investment of nearly VND38 billion ($1.44 million), and a cold storage warehouse leasing project valued at about VND94 billion ($3.57 million) in the northern port city of Hai Phong.
As part of broader capital restructuring, Vietrans said it will proceed with divesting its stake in Vinatrans Danang, while retaining its investment in Vinafreight, citing stable operations and consistent dividend income.
The company also plans to complete tax finalization, profit distribution, and dissolution procedures for Agility Co Ltd, signaling a continued effort to streamline its portfolio.
The 2026 targets follow a volatile performance in 2025. Vietrans reported net revenue of nearly VND493 billion ($18.73 million), more than tripling from a year earlier, reflecting a rebound in logistics activity.
However, net profit fell sharply by nearly 61% to about VND12 billion ($456,000), primarily due to losses of around VND61 billion ($2.32 million) from joint ventures and affiliates. Based on the results, the company plans to maintain a dividend payout ratio of 14% for 2025.
