Vietnam, Singapore launch green e-commerce platform
A new green e-commerce platform, Vietnamsgp.arobid.com, has been launched in Singapore, aiming to connect 20,000 businesses from both countries and promote sustainable digital trade.
The platform, announced by Vietnam's Trade Office in Singapore, is a joint initiative between Vietnamese tech firm Arobid and its Singaporean partner Ecohub. It debuted last Friday as part of the Vietnam-Singapore Sustainable Trade & Innovation Forum 2025.

According to Tran Van Chin, chairman of Arobid, the platform leverages AI, big data, 3D virtual exhibitions, and tools like Aro-Uni, behavior analytics, and a partner alliance gateway to accelerate digital and green transformation for enterprises.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh hailed the platform as a strategic tool to help push bilateral trade to $30 billion by 2028. “This isn’t just a digital solution - it’s a sustainable startup ecosystem,” he said. “In today’s global economy, digital trade is no longer optional. This platform enables faster, smarter, greener, and fairer commerce.”
Singapore is currently Vietnam’s second-largest foreign investor, with over 4,000 licensed projects and more than $86 billion in total registered capital. Bilateral trade reached $23.5 billion in 2024. The Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) network is expected to expand to 22 smart, sustainable industrial parks.
Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Associations (HUBA), noted that many local businesses still struggle to meet international standards like the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
The launch of this B2B marketplace platform could bridge that gap, connecting Vietnamese firms with green technologies, supply chains, and partners from Singapore, he said.
Vietnamsgp.arobid.com is expected to serve as a bridge between over 20,000 HUBA members in Vietnam and companies in the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF). It also kicks off a broader initiative for digital trade promotion between the two nations through 2026, he added.
Phung Ai Van, founder of Ecohub, emphasized that Singapore’s expertise in low-carbon supply chains and smart logistics can be a valuable resource to help Vietnamese exporters upgrade their capabilities.
