Vietnam unit of Turkey’s FMCG giant Hayat earns $50 mln in 2024

Hayat Kimya Vietnam Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Turkish FMCG giant Hayat Holding, earned a revenue of VND1,274 billion ($50.3 million) in Vietnam in 2024.

The firm, known for making baby & mother care products in Vietnam, dislosed the figure at a working session with Binh Phuoc province authorities on Monday, the first working day after the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet).

About 40% of its output served export markets. The company recorded an export revenue of $31 million and import expenditure of $29.6 million in 2024. It paid VND35.9 billion ($1.42 million) to the state budget last year, the firm added.

Hayat started investing in the southern province of Binh Phuoc in 2019, with a $108 million project for the first phase.

In March 2022, it inaugurated its next phase with a 32 hectare plant in Becamex-Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, raising the total investment to $250 million.

Hayat is planning to invest in manufacturing tissues and detergent in Vietnam with an annual output of 60,000 tons and 250,000 tons, respectively.

Registered foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam hit $38.23 billion in 2024, down 3% year-on-year, the General Statistics Office reported. Turkey was the ninth-biggest investor with $763.5 million.

As of end-2024, Vietnam’s registered FDI reached $502.8 billion with 42,002 valid projects. Turkey was the 23rd-biggest source with $1.74 billion.
