Vingroup JSC (HoSE: VIC) has unveiled Vin New Horizon, a network of premium retirement and wellness communities built to international standards, marking the Vietnamese conglomerate’s strategic entry into the senior living market.

According to Vingroup, Vin New Horizon is founded on six key pillars : health, enjoyment, happiness, connection, longevity, and peace of mind. It will be integrated into master-planned urban areas ranging from 20 to 50 hectares each.

The model aims to deliver not only housing, medical care, and leisure, but also a holistic environment that promotes active, purposeful living for Vietnam’s rapidly aging population.

Regarding the health pillar, each Vin New Horizon community will feature a five-star international geriatric hospital, with specialized centers for cardio-cerebral regeneration, musculoskeletal and metabolic health, endocrinology and nutrition, mental health and sleep, as well as anti-aging and stem-cell therapies.

Wellness, physiotherapy, and spa services will complement the medical ecosystem, supporting the philosophy of “living longer, living healthier.”

The enjoyment pillar includes five-star resort hotels, wellness and rehabilitation centers, culinary therapy hubs, and luxury retreat villas. Residents will have access to personalized medical and nutritional consultations, along with a Family Connect service enabling flexible stays across Vin New Horizon destinations nationwide.

The happiness and connection pillars highlight social engagement through Golden Residences - premium retirement villas that combine privacy, safety, and 24/7 emergency links to the main hospital complex.

At the heart of each community, the New Horizon Center will serve as a social and cultural hub, featuring facilities for fitness, arts, lifelong learning, recreation, and community events to foster an active and intellectually vibrant lifestyle.

For the longevity and peace of mind pillars, the developments will integrate green parks, ecological landscapes, and environmental monitoring systems, ensuring a sustainable and healthy living environment. “Peace of mind” initiatives, including lifetime insurance and pension funds, are intended to provide long-term financial security for residents.

Vingroup plans to roll out Vin New Horizon first in Can Gio urban area in Ho Chi Minh City and then other localities.

The new initiative marks a significant expansion of Vingroup’s ecosystem beyond real estate, healthcare, and education, positioning it as a pioneer in Vietnam’s high-end senior living sector.

Vietnam is quickly becoming one of Asia's fastest-aging nations, transitioning from an aging society to an aged one in under 20 years, according to the Ministry of Health.

The country currently has approximately 16.1 million elderly residents, aged 60 and above, representing about 16% of the national population. The ministry projects that Vietnam would become an aged society by 2038.

On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), VIC shares ended down 4.27% to VND204,000 ($7.7) each on Friday.
