Vietnam's leading construction materials maker Viglacera appoints new chairman
The board of directors of Viglacera, Vietnam's leading construction materials maker, has appointed Tran Manh Huu as new chairman, succeeding Nguyen Van Tuan.
At the company’s AGM held on Tuesday in Hanoi, Viglacera’s shareholders approved Tuan’s resignation.
In late May, the company stated that Tuan had wished to step down from the board to focus on other planned responsibilities.
“This is a carefully considered decision and part of a planned leadership transition,” Tuan wrote in his resignation letter. He remains to be Viglacera’s general director.

Tran Manh Huu, formerly head of the supervisory board, was elected as an additional member of the board of directors. Subsequently, the board unanimously elected him chairman for the 2024-2029 term.
Born in 1978, Huu holds a bachelor’s degree in finance. Prior to joining Viglacera, he spent many years at the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC).
Viglacera elected Nguyen Thi Tham as new head of the supervisory board, while Nguyen Viet Trung was added as a new member of this board.
For 2025, Viglacera has set the targets of consolidated net revenue of VND14,437 billion ($553.45 million) and a consolidated pre-tax profit of VND1,743 billion ($66.8 million), year-over-year increases of 21% and 7%, respectively. The company also plans to distribute a 22% dividend.
The corporation aims to expand its industrial park portfolio in localities with favorable infrastructure, strong investment potential, and operational efficiency.
It also seeks to accelerate the development of social and worker housing integrated with existing industrial parks in northern Vietnam localities, such as Ha Nam, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Hanoi.
In the construction materials sector, general director Nguyen Anh Tuan stated that the company will prioritize deep investments in technological and technical innovations.
Enhancing automation will be a key focus to lower production costs and better meet demands in high-end markets.
Viglacera aims to boost production of high-value export products such as fire-resistant glass, solar glass, anti-reflective glass, and advanced glass processing technologies.
