Work begins on $41 mln urban area in Vietnam southernmost province
Leading developer T&T Group broke ground Sunday on a 23-hectare urban housing project in the southernmost province of Ca Mau with an investment of more than VND1 trillion ($41.24 million).
Located in the new urban area of Cluster 5, Ward 1, Ca Mau town, the project is expected to create a “civilized,” modern urban area with synchronous architectural, technical and social infrastructure.
The project will comprise a total of 1,307 units including shophouses, townhouses, villas, mixed-use houses and social housing.
With a wide range of amenities including cultural-sports centers, schools, medical facilities and trade-services centers, it is expected to become an ideal living space for nearly 5,000 local residents.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Lam Van Bi said that more than 90% of the project area has been cleared.
He assured that the provincial administration will offer maximum support for the developer to complete the project on schedule.
In March 2021, T&T Group and the provincial People's Committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement at a ceremony in Hanoi. T&T Group chairman Do Quang Hien pledged then that the group will support Ca Mau in all development initiatives including planning, investing, real estate developments, energy generation and logistics, including seaport and airport.
T&T Group has been implementing many large-scale real estate projects in provinces and cities across the country. Recently, it began construction of two projects under the plan to preserve, embellish and promote the value of President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province - the late leader’s homeland.
It has also inaugurated the first phase of the T&T City Millennia project in Can Giuoc district, Long An province; and a housing and commercial complex in Long Xuyen town, An Giang province.
