Work starts on many major projects in Vietnam city Hai Phong
Twelve key projects saw construction kick-start or inauguration on Sunday in the northern port city of Hai Phong.

The events took place en masse at a ceremony held by the municipal People's Commitee at the city's new Administrative-Political Center in the Bac Song Cam urban complex, Thuy Nguyen town.
The 12 events include placing signs for the Administrative-Political Center and a performance-conference center; commencing construction of the Cat Bi International Airport expansion project; and starting to build a new urban area in Duong Kinh and Kien Thuy districts.
Other projects include the inauguration of the Singapore International School (SIS) project (Le Chan district) and the Tien Cuong 2 Industrial Cluster (Tien Lang district), the commencement of construction on a five-star hotel (Hong Bang district), and the groundbreaking for the Trang Due 3 Industrial Park project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Le Anh Quan, standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong, emphasized that these projects will contribute to changing the city's urban appearance, gradually turning Hai Phong into a city on par with cities in the region and the world as well as a key growth pole in the northern region.

Municipal Administrative-Political Center
The city's Administrative-Political Center is built on an area of over 29,000 square meters, with a total floor area of 89,500 m2 and a total investment of over VND2,831 billion ($109.13 million).
The complex consists of 14 blocks of buildings built symmetrically along the East-West and North-South axes.
Of these, the two main blocks in the middle are 15 floors high. The remaining 12 low-rise blocks are arranged symmetrically in an arc shape opening to the North and South directions.
Inside the buildings, conference rooms, offices, lobbies, corridors and functional rooms are designed in a modern style.
Cat Bi International Airport
The Cat Bi airport expansion project, with a total investment of VND1,151 billion ($44.36 million), will cover 13.68 hectares and include two phases.
The project to expand the aircraft parking lot and the project to build Passenger Terminal T2, after completion, together with the cargo terminal project with a capacity of 100,000 tons per year, will create synchronization in aviation infrastructure.

Singapore-headquartered KinderWorld International Group's Singapore International School (SIS) in Le Chan district is one of the most significant projects.
Ricky Tan, chairman of KinderWorld, said that Hai Phong is in a very favorable position for FDI attraction and KinderWorld believes in the city's growth prospects.
At the event, he stated that Singapore International School in Le Chan district is the first project in KinderWorld's investment plan in Hai Phong city. In the future, KinderWorld aims to develop more international school campuses, vocational education centers, and outdoor eco-tourism and education complexes.
With this plan, the group hopes to contribute more to the development of human resources in the city, Ricky Tan added.
The school in Le Chan district, the 16th SIS facility, is the first school following the K-12 model (grades are kindergarten and first through 12th grade) in Hai Phong.
The first phase of the school will comprise of the first classroom block and world-class school facilities including a multi-purpose sports hall, swimming pool, football field and auditorium.
With the completion of additional classrooms and complementary facilities in the second phase, SIS Le Chan will become one of the largest campuses of KinderWorld in Vietnam, providing education for 1,500 students from preschool to high school.

Vinhomes Golden City urban complex
Vinhomes, a subsidiary of Vingroup, held a groundbreaking ceremony for a $23,218 billion ($894.26 million) new urban area project, named Vinhomes Golden City, in Duong Kinh and Kien Thuy districts.

Vinhomes Golden City is the fifth real estate project Vinhomes has developed in Hai Phong. It is located in Hoa Nghia ward of Duong Kinh district and the communes of Dong Phuong and Dai Dong in Kien Thuy district.
The project covers more than 240 hectares, including low-rise housing, apartment buildings, public works, commercial and service works, schools, and medical facilities.
Trang Due 3 Industrial Park
Saigon-Hai Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company (SHP) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Trang Due 3 IP project, which has a total investment of VND8,000 billion ($308.11 million).
It covers 652.73 hectares and is located in the communes of Truong Thanh, Truong Tho, An Tien, and Bat Trang of An Lao district in Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone.
Trang Due 3 has a strategic location in the zone, fully benefiting from the synchronous transport infrastructure system and international connectivity of Hai Phong - a key logistics and industrial center in the northern region.
The IP aims to attract enterprises in the high-tech sector, electronics, electric vehicle industry, and environmentally friendly supporting industries.
