$57 mln road to link national highway to Nghi Son economic zone
The central province of Thanh Hoa planned to build a 13-kilometer road to link National Highway 1A with the Nghi Son Economic Zone in a move to attract more investors.
The total investment of VND1,345 billion ($56.98 million) is being sourced from the central budget, provincial budget, and other sources. The project will be implemented from 2022-2025.
Covering 47.68 hectares, the highway will have a speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour.

Thanh Hoa has licensed 138 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of $13.34 billion, according to provincial authorities. Of this, $12.85 billion has been disbursed in the Nghi Son EZ, as the economic hub of the central province.
Key FDI projects in the zone include the Nghi Son cement factory with registered capital of $621.9 million, the Nghi Son 2 thermal power plant with $2.79 billion, and the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical factory with $9 billion.
