Agriculture ministry names new deputy minister

Hoang Trung, director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's plant protection department, has been appointed the ministry's deputy minister from June 2.

Trung, 54, holds a doctorate degree, and held positions of deputy head and head of many divisions and departments at the agriculture ministry.

The ministry currently has five deputy ministers: Phung Duc Tien, Tran Thanh Nam, Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Nguyen Quoc Tri and Hoang Trung. Its minister is Le Minh Hoan.
