Archipelago International, a Southeast Asia-focused hotel management group, has made its debut in Vietnam with the Aston Nha Trang City Hotel, to be officially launched Wednesday.

The new property overlooks Nha Trang Bay, one of the world’s most beautiful bays and dotted with various small islands and home to gorgeous diving sites in the turquoise waters.

The new hotel has been rebranded by Indonesia-headquartered Archipelago International from the Daphovina Hotel in the beach town of Nha Trang, about 450 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City and about 50 minutes from the Cam Ranh International Airport in the same province - Khanh Hoa.

Aston Nha Trang features 135 modern and spacious rooms and suites. Its all-day restaurant offers guests a filling and diverse breakfast buffet as well as a wide selection of delicious dishes. Its Bar & Beer Garden is placed on the rooftop.

"We are excited to welcome travelers to this scenic property in Vietnam and to experience the on-point service Archipelago and Aston have been known for,” Archipelago Indochina's CEO John Gardner said Tuesday.

He was the general manager and general director of the five-star Caravelle Hotel in HCMC from 2007 to 2021 and is now a principal partner at Optimum Hospitality, a Vietnam-based asset management and hospitality consultancy firm.

In April 2022, Archipelago International announced it was moving into the Vietnamese market with five new contracts and the launch of Archipelago Indochina in partnership with Optimum Hospitality. Gardner had also directed commercial marketing for the Alma and Anam resorts in Cam Ranh town of Khanh Hoa, according to the announcement.

Archipelago Indochina, launched at that time, was laying the groundwork for a footprint in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos that includes full-service management contracts for hotels as large as 1,000 rooms, soft brand management contracts and franchise agreements, said Archipelago International.

The corporation claims it is Southeast Asia's largest privately owned hospitality group, with more than 40,000 rooms and residences in over 200 locations across Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Oceania. Its portfolio of 11 award-winning brands namely Aston, Collection by Aston, Alana, Huxley, Kamuela, Harper, Quest, Hotel NEO, Fave, Nordic, and Powered by Archipelago.
