China’s Luxshare-ICT to up workforce in central Vietnam by 7 times
China’s Luxshare-ICT, a supplier of Apple, currently employs 11,600 people in Vietnam’s central province of Nghe An and is set to increase the workforce to 60,000-80,000 soon.
Luxshare-ICT vice chairman Wang Laisheng made the statement at a Friday meeting with Nghe An's Party chief and Chairman Nguyen Duc Trung.
Luxshare-ICT is now the biggest foreign investor in Nghe An, accounting for 23.4% of the total foreign direct investment in the province, Trung said.

Trung urged Luxshare-ICT to further invest in Nghe An and transform the province into its production hub. Provincial authorities will support Luxshare-ICT in project implementation towards win-win outcomes, he noted.
Nghe An will facilitate Luxshare-ICT’s worker housing project, a commitment of Luxshare-ICT to accelerate other projects in the province, Trung said.
Luxshare-ICT started investing in Nghe An in June 2019 and has made seven investments there totaling $898 million.
Two operational projects are Luxshare-ICT (Nghe An) worth $290 million and Merry&Luxshare (Vietnam) worth $40 million. Others are Luxcase (Vietnam) with $473 million, Luxshare Technologies (Vietnam) with $35 million, and Luxvisions (Nghe An) with $60 million.
