CT Group staff get day off for Vu Lan festival ancestral tribute
All CT Group staff can return home to join their families in paying tributes to elders and ancestors, a practice of the Vu Lan festival (Sangha Day).
Vu Lan festival is a major Buddhist event celebrated and commemorated in the country. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month. This year, it falls on Wednesday, August 30.
A senior official of the group, Uyen, noted that while the global economic slowdown has posed several challenges for businesses, the CT Group has stood by its workers, motivating them to work together and overcome problems.
“My mother cried tears of happiness when I called and informed her that I would return home for this holiday.”

Minh Ngoc, a younger staff member, said that she was “lucky to work at CT Group, while many of my friends are unemployed. I am happy that my employer encourages staff to express their filial piety….”
There will be many corporations like CT Group, giving employees a Vu Lan holiday to pay filial piety to their parents. Together, they will light up the bright light of gratitude to parents, life, and society. Nurturing noble souls under that light will create "endless green fields of human civilization", which is the source of everyone's happiness.
