A subsidiary of Vietnam’s dairy giant TH true MILK plans to develop a VND6.07 trillion ($234 million) factory in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The plant, expected to span 10 hectares in Song Than 3 Industrial Park, will produce and process dairy products, yoghurt, ice cream, and non-alcohol beverages, TH Binh Duong Clean Food Company Limited said in its environmental impact assessment report for the project.

The project will be implemented in multiple phases, with phase one (Q1-Q4/2027) focusing on processing and production of milk and dairy products with a capacity of 69,043 tons per year.

Phase two (Q1/2028-Q4/2030) will expand production to 32,314 tons of dairy products and 110,130 tons of non-alcoholic beverages per year, totaling 142,444 tons annually.

Phase three (Q1/2031–Q4 2035) will produce 5,759 tons of dairy products and 217,617 tons of non-alcoholic beverages per year, with a total capacity of 223,376 tons annually.

Phase four (Q1/2036–Q4/2037) will add 90,006 tons of dairy products and 327,482 tons of non-alcoholic beverages, bringing the phase’s total capacity to 417,488 tons per year.

Once fully operational, the plant will have a total production capacity of 852,351 tons per year. The facility is expected to generate employment for approximately 850 workers.

TH Group first entered the dairy farming and high-tech milk processing sector with a project in Nghia Dan district of the central province of Nghe An, with a total investment of $1.2 billion.

This project includes a herd of nearly 70,000 cows and a modern milk processing plant covering 5.2 hectares, capable of processing over one million liters of milk per day.

TH true MILK products were officially launched in the Vietnamese market in December 2010.

Binh Duong, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, is an industrial hub in southern Vietnam, together with HCMC, Dong Nai, and Long An.
