Danang airport among world's most improved, Asia's best
Vietnam's Danang International Airport was ranked third and 10th among the world's 10 most improved and Asia’s 10 best regional airports by U.K. airline rating Skytrax.
Other airports in the list of 10 world's most improved airports in order are: Shenzhen (China), New York LGA (U.S.), Sofia (Bulgaria), Sapporo (Japan), San Jose Juan Santamaría (Spain), Calgary (Canaada), Porto (Portugal), Rome Fiumicino (Italia) and Baltimore-Washington (U.S.).
Other airport in the list of 10 Asia’s best regional airports in order are: Centrair Nagoya (Japan), Haikou Meilan (China), Fukuoka (Japan), Hyderabad (India), Bangalore (India), Xi'an (China), Seoul Gimpo (South Korea), Changsha (China) and Sapporo (Japan).
Danang, a tourism hub in central Vietnam, boasts the most beautiful beaches in Southeast Asia. The Golden Bridge in the central city has topped a list of the new wonders of the world by the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper.
The bridge is an architectural work built by Vietnamese corporation Sun Group at Sun World Ba Na Hills Da Nang and opened in 2018. It is designed as though a giant's hands are supporting the 150m path for pedestrians, which overlooks the coastal city.
Golden Bridge has regularly been featured in a series of prestigious international outlets such as the Guardian, CNN and the New York Times due to its surreal beauty. It was ranked among the top 100 World’s Greatest Places in 2018 by Time magazine.
The breathtaking bridge was honored as the 'World's Top Iconic Tourist Bridge' at the World Travel Awards 2020, dubbed the Oscars of world tourism.
