Dutch high-tech manufacturer VDL ETG to build Vietnam facility
VDL Enabling Technologies Group (VDL ETG), the high-tech manufacturer under Dutch group VDL, will build a facility in Vietnam, targeting delivery of its first products by the end of Q1/2025 or the beginning of Q2.
VDL ETG and Frasers Property Vietnam, under Singapore-headquartered Frasers Property, recently signed a memorandum of understanding for the move, VDL ETG said on Wednesday. The signing was part of a Vietnam visit by a Dutch trade mission.

Construction of the new VDL factory in the northeastern region is set to begin soon, the Dutch business added. The facility is set to employ 60 people. Data on investment capital is not available.
VDL produces various types of equipment for the semiconductor industry, thin-film deposition equipment for photovoltaic solar cells, analytical instruments, medical systems, science and industry, and mechanisation.
The expansion in Vietnam is part of VDL’s global growth strategy. Currently, the firm operates production units in Eindhoven and Almelo (Netherlands), Trubbach (Switzerland), Singapore, and Suzhou (China).
In Vietnam, Frasers Property has a diverse portfolio of one residential property, two commercial properties, and seven industrial properties. Regarding its industrial real estate, the operating ones in Vietnam’s northern region are Industrial Center Yen Phong 2C in Bac Ninh province and Industrial Center Yen My in Hung Yen province.
