Ex Ford exec, Be app cofounder take leadership positions in road-builder Tasco
Tasco JSC, a major Vietnamese road builder, has appointed two new people to its leadership, namely Pham Van Dung, former managing director of Ford Vietnam, and Nguyen Thien Minh, co-founder of ride-hailing app Be.

Starting November 1, Dung has taken over as chairman of SVC Holdings, a local automobile service and retail provider fully acquired by Tasco in September 2023.
With over 20 years of experiences working in the automotive sector at GM-Daeawoo, Ford, Inchcape, and most recently, at Ford Vietnam (2015-2022), Dung is expected to develop strategic partners, promote supply chain integration, and storm regional and international markets.
The same day, Minh has become the new chairman of Vietnam Electronic Toll Collection Co., Ltd (VETC), a major provider of toll collection solutions for roads in Vietnam and under the Tasco ecosystem.
Minh brings more than 20 years of experience with global tech giants like PayPal, Wells Fargo, BestBuy, OpenTV, DTT, Callaway Golf Interactive and American Airlines. In Vietnam, he is a co-founder of ride-hailing app Be and digital bank Cake by VPBank.
The appointments are Tasco’s latest efforts to integrate high technology into business towards becoming the top automobile and smart traffic service provider in Vietnam.
Tasco, listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) as HUT, recorded post-taxs profit of VND29.35 billion ($1.19 million) from revenues of VND3.18 trillion ($129.43 million) in the first nine months of this year, down 73.7% and up 316% year-on-year, respectively.
