Exploding ship injures 8 workers while under repair in Quang Ninh
A 68,000-deadweight tonnage ship under repair in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh exploded on Thursday, injuring eight workers.
The injured are all workers of Nosco Shipyard Joint Stock Company based in Quang Yen township, where the bulk carrier Oriental Glory of the Hanoi-based Oriental Shipping and Trading JSC is being repaired, according to provincial officials.

The injured are under treatment at Vietnam-Sweden Hospital in Uong Bi town in the same province.
On being informed of the case, Cao Tuong Huy, acting Chairman of Quang Ninh province, directed relevant authorities to dispatch forces and means to the site for rescue work and fire extinguishing, as well as to investigate reasons behind the explosion.
The fire has been put under control. The case is under further investigation.
