The new facility, spanning 14,000 square meters, will reach its full production capacity in early 2025, said Alexander Reich, general director of Ziehl-Abegg Vietnam.

He did not mention further details of capacity or investment. He said 12,900 square meters will be allocated for manufacturing and the remaining 1,100 square meters for administrative offices.

“This will allow us to be even closer to our customers and meet their needs more efficiently,” Reich said in a Wednesday statement.

He added the expansion builds on prior investments to enhance the company's production capacities in Poland and the U.S., in addition to facilities in Germany.

Ziehl-Abegg boasts 2,800 employees at its southern Germany plants and a total of 5,100 employees across 15 production sites, 30 subsidiaries and 117 sales offices globally.

The company’s extensive range of over 30,000 products reaches customers in over 100 countries, generating annual revenues of $981.5 million.

Dong Nai attracted a total of $834 million in foreign direct investment in the first five months of this year, 19% above its annual target. This made the southern province a top five FDI recipient in the five-month period, besides Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City.
