HCMC exhibition showcases 8,000 green tech products, highlights sustainable growth
Around 200 enterprises are displaying nearly 8,000 green technology products in about 300 booths at the 2024 Green Growth Show (GRECO 2024) held in Ho Chi Minh City until Wednesday, September 25.
Organizers said that the event, themed "Industrial Transformation: A New Driving Force for Sustainable Development in HCMC," aimed to support businesses in promoting green growth products and services while raising public awareness of green economic development and the circular economy.
GRECO 2024 is being held on Nguyen Hue and Le Loi walking streets, two central locations that facilitate outreach to the public.
This year’s exhibition has expanded in scale, focusing on high-tech sectors, supporting industries and innovations related to Industry 4.0. It has provided businesses with a platform to introduce the latest technologies in several areas including electronic microchips and artificial intelligence (AI).
GRECO 2024, stretched over an area of 10,000 square meters, has also presented cultural and artistic performances every day, not to mention culinary demonstrations by chefs of repute.
A standout feature has been the "Techmart" area, which highlights green technology, renewable energy, and environmental treatment for industrial transformation. This section presents renewable energy processes, equipment and environmental solutions tailored to modern industrial needs.
It has also dedicated space for businesses recognized as green enterprises and those implementing the ESG (environmental, social, governance) model in their operations. As such, it has gathered leading domestic and international brands in technology and eco-friendly products.
“HCMC recognizes the need to support the business community for sustainable development. We aim to create opportunities for companies to promote green growth products and services, encouraging a shift to green, circular production models,” said Vo Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee.
Phan Ngoc Anh, director of Alena Energy Company, noted that in light of rising electricity prices and increasing demand for green energy, the company has showcased comprehensive green technology solutions at GRECO 2024.
These include the Luxriot EVO (an energy monitoring and security system with AI), an energy management system, and a rooftop solar power system with energy storage.
“These solutions are designed to help businesses reduce electricity costs and minimize environmental impacts while adhering to ESG standards,” he said.
