Hyundai has partnered with GPLUSG Corporation (GoodPlusGood) to introduce Hyundai Life’s consumer goods in Vietnam, marking the giant's expansion from its industrial and commercial roots into the consumer sector.
“Vietnam is one of the most dynamic consumer markets in Southeast Asia, undergoing rapid transformation. Consumers here are looking for high-quality products that emphasize design, technology, and convenience,” said Nguyen Hong Que, CEO of Hyundai Electronics Vietnam, which is in charge of Hyundai’s home appliance segment.
“Home appliances are the strategic core of the Hyundai Life ecosystem. Our goal is to build a modern, safe, and sustainable consumer ecosystem for Vietnamese families,” she added.
Hyundai Life’s product portfolio focuses on three strategic categories: home appliances, including air fryers and air purifiers; personal care devices like hair dryers; and energy-efficient lighting and smart locks.
According to the company, all products incorporate energy-saving technologies, feature designs tailored to urban living spaces, and are produced under the supervision of Hyundai Corporation Holdings.
Seungju Lee, a representative of Hyundai Corporation Holdings, noted that Hyundai Life products are now present in over 130 countries, with a total transaction value of $372 million.
He expressed confidence that Vietnam will become a strategic market thanks to Hyundai’s robust manufacturing capabilities and GPLUSG Corporation’s in-depth local market understanding.
Lim Hyun Dai, chairman of GPLUSG Corporation, expects that the Hyundai Life product lines will offer more choices to Vietnamese consumers by aligning with local lifestyles while upholding global standards of reliability and quality. Over the next five years, Hyundai Life aims to capture 10% of Vietnam’s home appliance market.
According to Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the home appliance market in Vietnam is currently valued at around $13 billion and is growing at an annual rate of over 10%. Consumers aged 18 to 45 dominate demand, with high expectations for product quality, durability, design, and origin.
