Minister of Trade Budi Santoso said on Monday that the focus will be on strengthening the domestic market, expanding export markets, and enhancing export capabilities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The minister highlighted that Indonesia’s startup rate remains low, at just 3.47%, compared to 10-12% in developed nations. To address this, the ministry plans to boost the number of entrepreneurs by creating export opportunities for MSMEs, leveraging various support tools.

He urged businesses and stakeholders to collaborate in implementing these programs, noting the ministry will build on existing policies and tools to ensure success.
